So in my new guitar I'm gonna have 2 MiracleMan humbuckers with 2 volumes and a 3-way toggle switch, no tone...
For the volumes I'm gonna use push-pull pots so that the humbucker is split when in up-position...
If I have both volumes in up-position, then both humbuckers are split. Now if I set the switch in the middle position both splitted humbuckers is heard.
But, any thoughts on which coil to split the humbucker to?
I'm thinking south for the bridge and north for the neck? Any advantages/disadvantages with different combinations of north/south split??
EDIT: Never mind, I think I'll go for the series/parallel alternative instead...

or have both....have my nailbomb with a three way series, single, parallel

Yeah, but then I'll have to use a miniswitch(on-on-on) or something similar.
The push-pull pot is only on-on...
Can you hear any differences in tone between single and parallel?
Is the output much weaker in parallel compared to single?
And is the hum noticeable in single mode compared to parallel?

erm yes and no depends what your playing.....depends if you near electrical interferance.....like both the parallel and the single sound.....if your using 2 vol couldn't you use the 3 way as the switch for par/hum/single...or do you still like the switch...hold the phone another idea...one push/pull to split humbuckers....the other to do series parallel
