Title: Marshall ED-1 Compressor - Any comments?
Post by: Brow on April 08, 2006, 11:24:08 AM
Hey guys.

I've been offered a Marshall ED1 Compressor pedal for a low price, and was just wondering if anyone here has ever used 1, or have any comments about it?

In the past, I've only ever used Compression when I've been recording and am not really sure where/if I'd use it in a live setting. But at the price I've been offered it at, I considered getting it just to play about with to see how I like it.

Anyone have an opinion of this pedal?

Thanx for any replies.

Craig

well, i tried one in a shop head to head with the boss one and i thought the boss one was better.

Not much in it though- if you get it for a cheap enough price you might as well, if only to mess around with.

Oh yeah, i rarely if ever use my boss compressor, lol.

Had the Marshall one for a little while, couldn't really tell if it was on/doing it's thing, and some settings (everything full) made it really noisy. Part-exed it and some other stuff for my PODxt.

Thanx for the posts guys.

I've been offered it for £15, so I'll probably pick it up if only to mess around with :)
