Have scoured old threads for others with similar tone requirements but not found anything firm or definitive:
Looking for the very early '69 - '71 Santana tone on first 3 albums, e.g. Gibson SG/P90 era. Most references I found recommend HBs such as Black Dog, Riff Raff, Mule, Abraxas (lots people saying Abraxas nothing like early Santana!) , etc...
Looking for bridge and neck PUPs for a completely stripped down SG with ebony board - no wiring loom/pots acquired yet either..... Currently routed for HBs but willing to adapt for soap bars if they lend more to authentic tone...
My ears seem to lean toward the Nantucket or Abraxas bridge and Nantucket or Abraxas neck insofar as I have been able to find any clips to listen to, but these are few and far between, especially for the Nantucket and Abraxas....
Any and all thoughts/help gratefully received!

..following further auditions of the samples on BKP site, leaning more toward Abraxas Bridge, Mississippi Queen neck.....

Depending on how bright the SG natural voice is, I think a Mule-set will do fine here. The Abraxas is a tad too hot for early Santana.
