I'm looking for a new bridge PU for my 7-string, an Ibanez RG7620 (basswood body). To explain the sound that I'm looking for... uhmm, well I guess that the big-tight-crushing Meshuggah sound is the closest...
Of course, I think about buying a Lundgren M7 PU - the one that the Meshuggah guys use, but Bare Knuckle customers seem to be so happy that I hesitate : can the Miracle Man or the Warpig (maybe with a ceramic magnet for extra-tightness) achieve that kind of sound ? I already heard a couple of sound clips, but so many things are involved in recording...
Another thing is the delay time, I guess that a 7-string ceramic Warpig would be a custom order, how long will I have to wait ?
Thanks for the help.

I'd go for thu Warpig, it seems to handle sevenstrings and lower tunings rather well. Wouldnt bother with ceramic, ive heard it detracts from the "organics" of the pickup.

Thanks, guy.
I'm not really looking for an "organic" sound for this guitar, I need something sharp and tight.

email tim, he always has good advice on what to get. just explain to him exactly what you want, there will be a pick up in the range that does it i'm sure.

If you want sharp and tight, check out the Miracle man.

Uhmm, 2 weeks and no answer to my email yet... :?

I have answered your email twice now but I think your PC may be dumping it in trash or treating it as spam. I've found the email in my outbox:
'a ceramic Warpig would sound awesome and takes no loner to make-masses of power and grind. We can only make 7s in black open coils but turnaround is pretty quick.Price is £99.The MM would be good to obut less upper mid and a smoother tone.'
If any of you ever have trouble getting me on email, PM me.........sometimes spam filters can be over zealous and block out my replies.

OK, Tim, thanks a lot. I'll check this out.
