Title: C-pig or painkiller for basswood ibanez.

I was going to get an RG prestige 6 string, and i'm a fan of the C-pig. However, I was wondering if it would be too dark sounding, making the painkiller a better option? My goal is to play some melo-death lead stuff like Children of bodom, Old in flames, necrophagist, etc. I don't want something with the mids scooped too much though. EDIT: I forgot to mention that it is a basswood
