				Hi all

First post here. I'm the happy owner of a 2003 PRS Custom 22 and I always felt like the guitar could sound better with other pickups than the Dragon II that came with it. They are definitely not bad and I would like to find something similar in terms of output but more open and clear sounding. I hope this makes sense! I have a pair of Juggernaut in an Ibanez RGA121 and they sound frigging amazing! I would like something less modern for the PRS though ... Does anyone have a recommendation? Guitar is tuned in E standard or drop D and I'm looking for tones ala Incubus or Foo Fighters. I mostly play on a Mesa Boogie Roadster with matching cab.

 Thanks!

 Thomas.

				Pick your choice.

Hottest classic PAF (42 AWG plain enamel wire) with crystal clear highs, good mids and quite some bass: VHII
Hotrodded PAF, with a good amount of bass and mids: Abraxas
Roaring screaming rock/some metal, with an emphasis on the uppermids Rebel Yells
Classic eighties hardrock/metal with creamy leads, lot of centermids, not too much bass: Holy Diver

Btw, Abraxas does very well in PRS guitars and I'm not talking Santana-tones here. ;-)

I would go for Holy Diver for Foo Fighters.

				Emeralds

				I'd definetely go for a vintage-hot pickup.

Mesa Roadster has body and a lot of gain on tap. Personally I would go Rebel Yells here.
