Title: Cable orientation bridge vs neck
Post by: elliptic on November 04, 2017, 04:27:27 AM
Sorry for the n0ob question but it's been many, many years since I replaced humbuckers. I recently bought a set of Abraxas reverse zebra + radiator cover, and looking at them in the orientation they will be installed the cable comes out on different sides i.e. the bridge cable comes out to the right (towards the controls) and the neck pickup comes out on the left (towards the pickup switch). Is that right?

I'm fairly sure that with the Lollars I installed years ago the cables came out on the same side, like single coil pickups do. They are labelled bridge and neck, and the bridge is 52mm, so it does seem like they are the right ones.

I think that is right.  Definitely screws toward the neck on the neck pickup and toward the bridge on the bridge pickup
