Title: pickup for walnut superstrat
Post by: Arvorion on December 21, 2017, 01:29:00 PM
i have a walnut bodied superstrat with a maple/mahagony/walnut neck and rw fingerboard , currently fitted with a dual sound at the bridge.
looking for something with higher output, more aggressive & more bass.
i came across a alnico nailbomb and a holy diver for cheap and having trouble choosing.
recommendations?

My Nailbomb sounds great in my Tokai LP, but my other Nailbomb sounded terrible in my Ibanez.
Between the 2 you mentioned, the Holy Diver would be a better fit for your guitar.

Yeah, Nailbombs in strats are not the first choice. You have to like the prominent uppermids and the 90's sizzle on the topend. Did you look at the Juggernaut and Ragnarok too?

I second this statement.  Either the MM or the HD.
