Hi, recently after seeing some adverts from Ernie Ball I bought their new Pridigy picks.
At the start I must say I`m a big fan of Jazz III picks and been using Planet Waves Black Ice 1.1 for years exclusively. They were only picks that I was using.
But coming back to new Prodigy picks...
They are even better, fantastic picks if you like Jazz III type. They are slightly smaller, I remember after opening the pack I was wondering how can you use such a small picks, but they work perfectly.
They are extremely durable... They last forever and show no wear at all so far (after over a week of every day playing), due to its beveled edge and sharp point at bottom they provide more articulation and precision, they are much much easier to play than slightly bigger Black Ice. They give you more control and lets you to focus on playing completely forgetting that you are holding a pick. Amazing.
I only use 'mini' mini black version which is 1.5 but that gives more 'feel'. They are not as slippy as other ones, giving you nice touch and comfort.
If you like Jazz III type picks I highly recommend new Prodigy mini 1.5 picks, fantastic product. To me, best picks I have ever tried. I forgot about Black Ice ones even after years of using them, Prodigy took over.

Funny you should write about new picks Lucas.
I switched last last weeks to Ultex/Ultem picks. They are stiffer and harder wearing than Tortex/Delrin so I have been able to reduce the gauge I use by one. I like them alot for tremolo picking and the attach is more pronounced.
I'll check out these Ernie Ball ones!

After about 3 weeks using new Prodigy picks, I can confirm my previous statements. Those pick are fantastic, made of titanium or some sort of steel, don`t seem to wear at all. Plus the printed logos seems to be printed into the pick (don't wear off at all even after weeks and I`ve been deliberately using the same pick for the whole time) providing an extra grip. Even when I`m not a bit fan of Ernie Ball strings (been using DRs for years), when it comes to picks they nailed it big time. Previously I was playing loads of different picks (including Graphtech Tusq ones as well years ago , Black Ices, Dunlops ect…) but Prodigy wins hands down.

I've been using Jazz III picks for a while and I love 'em but I've ordered a pack of these out of curiosity. Amazing what a difference a humble pick can make.

I've been playing with my new Ernie Ball picks for an hour or so. They are really good. Very precise, very smooth. I love the Jazz III's but my initial impression is that these are better. Gigging on Saturday so they'll get a good work out then. Thanks for the recommendation.

I've not I'm afraid Lucas.. 1.5mm is a little thick for me. I'll keep an eye out in case they come with something thinner.
Amazing what a difference a humble pick can make.

I got some of these after seeing this thread and a few others who rate them, but I have to say I'm finding I'm not such a fan of the taper, and that the attack on them doesn't have much bite compared to an Ultex Sharp, but they're cool for practising with since they're pretty unforgiving to how much pick you lower into the string. I think choice of pick is so personal though, so I can imagine they are exactly what some players are after!
