I want my strat re-fretting with higher frets than the ones currently on the guitar as they're absolutly annoying me to to hell the rest of the guitar is fantastic but the frets are too small and too low, need some big 6105's on.
anyone know any good value people in the uk who'll do the job well?
-
Feline Guitars maybe? I know Jonathan from Feline posts on here so its worth PM'ing him I guess.
-
Feline is one of the best.
6105s are nice, but hardly B I G. I would recommend 6100s!
-
are they the same ones as on an RG550?
-
I had Feline re-fret my Charvel and they did a brilliant job. I had 6100 Stainless Steel. Highly recommended!

Hi - we can help
A few of the BKP guys have had fretwork from us recently
We do take pride in nice fretting
Prices are here:

As far as tall wire goes we have 6105,6100 and 6000
We have stainless wire in Dunlop 6100 which is £50 extra as it is so hard to work with but long lasting. (Ask Johnny Mac)
You can eaven have a mix of 6100 and 6105 as they are the same height
6100 on the lower frets (up to 15th) and then the slimmer 6105 for the rest which gives a little more finger room at the top end
You will also have to allow for a new nut too or to have the existing one shimmed as the new frets will be too tall for the old nut (unless it was cut very high - which would mean that you ae currently suffering with v high action at the low frets )

I can recommend Jonathan whole heartedly. I had him fix up a neck which had a back bow. He fixed that, scalloped the 13-22 frets and added 6000 fret wire - if you want big go for this! The job is perfect, in fact it is so good that I am having him make me a new neck for another guitar!

Yeah, Jonathan and Feline Guitars did a shite-hot refret job on my SG. It was almost like getting a new guitar back. :)

Yea I would reccomend feline guitars, i got my Fender Heavy Metal Strat refretted with the same wire which is used on Jems works a treat.

Feline!
I've just been having a load of work done by Jon at Feline on all my guitars and having my Strat refretted with 6000 fret wire has made the most outstanding improvement.
An excellent job, I can't recommend him enough.

Get 6100 frets. They are huge and allow easier string bending. I found that they let me play a little faster too ( i was using small frets on my strat before)

Hi,
I just bought a new guitar....it's a Gibson '78 The paul.
It needs a refret job.
I'm sending it witrhin a few weeks to the PLEK-haus in Berlin, Germany.
It will get a refret job, new nut isntalled and a PLEK-job.
