Well, I've had this guitar for a couple of months, but it's got it's special bit now :)
It's a Gibson Peter Frampton Les Paul, a guitar which I was never exactly looking for before, but my friend's shop got it in. I noticed that the serial number was 147, and both myself and my little boy are big snooker fans. We were going to see someone special, so the guitar came along at the right time. On Saturday night we went to see Ronnie O'Sullivan and Mark Allen play an exhibition match in Belfast. We got to meet them, and Ronnie was kind enough to sign the control plate of the guitar for me. When I explained what it was, he added a little 147 at the end :) And, to top it all off, he finished the evening by knocking in a brilliant 147 maximum break in the last frame! :azn: Myself and my little boy went home very happy
As an added bonus, it's a great guitar! I'm not enamoured of the pickups, they're too hot and dark, but the guitar itself is fantastic. I'm making plans to change all the electronics to something a bit more "me"

Love that story! And a lovely guitar also

A really nerdy question ... With the three pickups being so close, are there three separate cavities, ie. One for each pickup, or is it just one long one?
-
There are three separate openings on the top connected by a drill hole for the wiring. You can see the top between the pickup rings

Great story, great guitar. Congrats!
