I got a set of Abraxas about a year ago, and after much playing and tweaking I've realised that while I absolutely love the neck pickup, it's everything I'd hoped for, the bridge is a bit middley and a bit dark for the guitar (mahogany body, koa neck). So looking for an alternative bridge that will complement the Abraxas neck pickup. Tonally, I think the PG Blues is kind of what I'm after, but it's so different to the Abraxas I'm not confident the combination would fly, and in particular in middle position the Abraxas would completely overpower the PG Blues.
Anyone using an Abraxas neck pickup with a different bridge?

Emerald or Rebel Yell.

Mule is less middy than the Abraxas and could match the neck.

The Emerald neck is a lovely pickup and should match well.

Talking bridgepickup here?

Thanks guys, I've ordered a Mule. I think part of the problem is actually the output, so I decided to try to Mule instead of the Emerald. Also Emerald is weaker in the bottom end, the guitar lacks tops but isn't overwhelming in the low end, I think the Emerald might be going too far in the opposite direction.

Mule is nicely balanced eq wise.

Allright mate, you gonna love the balance and dynamics of the Mule.
Next time try to describe your issue as detailed as possible so we can give the best advice (as far as we can...). If I knew you wanted to retain bass and were looking for less output, I would have said Mule straight away. Fantastic pickups that can do many styles.
