any ideas for a bridge pickup on a prs custom 22 for punk pop and classic rock.I am thinking of putting a MQ in the neck but am confused regarding the bridge
-
Possibly the Black Dog for classic Zep tones! But definitely give a hard look at other Vintage Hot p/ups. What kind of bands' tones do you like and what would you like to improve in your sound? That's usually a good place to start!

How about a Steve Stevens Rebel Yell, great for those punk power chords and more.

I've never seen someone play punk on a PRS

That's the state of the world today....

We play a lot of covers at weddings 40th birthdays etc,so the punk stuff goes down well ,Clash Undertones Jam etc. I usually use a duesenberg starplayer TV but I bought the PRS when I was left some cash in a will.I think the sound is a bit souless but it's great to play.

Get a decent pickup in it and it'll come to life, I really don't like PRS pickups of late.

It would be unfair to punk to call them punk but the band Good Charlotte wear punk clothing and play PRS.

An Abraxas humbucker would sit nicely as would a Crawler..............HJM has VHIIs in his PRS and they sound awesome.

+1 for either of those options 8)

thanks for the help.Is there much difference between the humbucker pups when the volume is up?
-
which pickups do you mean?
If you mean any of them, there is a huge difference between my VHII and my Crawlers. :)
-
what would you say was the difference then ?
-
My Crawler sounds more compressed, tighter, aggressive. The VHII is more open, and bright, I would say.
