Well that was interesting; I went into it thinking I was going to prefer the Jugs but came out with the Jugs as my least favourite of the three - I didn't expect that!
-
I don't think Juggs would be my first choice in a Les Paul Custom.
I think my favourite tone with Juggernauts is in my RG7421. Maple neck, rosewood board, basswood body, hipshot FP brigde.
The Juggernaut 6 string set sounds great in my Godin Redline III but it was obvious that the pickup was designed around guitars like my 7 string.
-
Ragnaroks easily the best in that comparison
-
yeah, my Juggs also kill in my 7 swamp ash baritone...
I'm very curious about the Rags 8 which I'm about to try.... can't wait. Although in the video the volume difference kind of makes me confused whether I like them or not more than Cbombs or Juggs.

is there something that indicated what options (poles and mags) were used in the WP? not seeing that mention in the YT comment section. should we assume it has fillister screws, based on the stock image in the video?

Those clips are all just taken from the BKP site and are recordings made made by Nolly, so he should know
-
I believe all three were recorded with different guitars
-
I thought Nolly used a Les Paul Custom for everything.
At any rate, the Juggernaut is in a guitar that is not terribly flattering. Hearing it in a treble / upper dominant guitar like an RG is something else. The pickup just sounds like an extension of the guitar's natural voice. It's really transparent when used in that application.
I really need to make some short demos sometime.
