Just received my prewired pickguard in the mail and I'm super excited to install it. Mother's Milks in the neck and middle. Trilogy in the bridge.
Just a quick question. The pickguard has 2 black wires and one white. I know a black and white go to the jack, but the pickguard I removed had two more black wires. One to the claw in the back and one into a screw into the pickup cavity of my strat.
So where does my black wire go? To the claw and skip the screw? Thanks for any help!

Okay. I figured it out. Had the wires switched on the jack.
Here's another question though. I ended up wiring the ground to the claw, but in trouble shooting, I soldered a new wire from the volume pot into the screw in my pickup cavity like my old pickguard was wired.
Now that I have my guitar strung, there's a little more hum that usual and I'm very disappointed in the sound of these pickups. I have a feeling it is user error though. Could that separate ground I wired be the culprit?

You should send a mail message to BKP for this problem.

Those two wires are to ground the bridge (from the claw) and the shielding (from the cavity). Both just go to ground and then the ground path goes via the jack
