Title: Bridge pole spacing (PRS CU24)
Post by: Pickles on April 07, 2019, 06:41:04 AM
This is probably a stupid but where do you measure the bridge pole spacing from? I've got a PRS CU24 with trem bridge trying to figure out if I should be ordering the 50mm or 53mm spacing for the bridge.

53 mm for trem, 50 for non-trem like a LP. But I think you would not hear that much difference since the stringsweep isn't that wide at the bridge.

I remember reading somewhere that although PRS bridges are spaced such that they "should" use a wider 53mm pickup, they actually use the narrower 50mm pickup in the factory.

The distance is from the groove in the low E saddle to the groove in the high E saddle

You just need to measure from the top E string to the bottom E string over where the bridge pickup sits. It should be closer to either 53mm or 49.5mm. Whichever its closest too should be the size to go for.

Let me know if you need anything else.
