howdy folks - Looking for recommendations on a BKP combo for a HSS strat (Alder body, maple neck, rosewood board).
I am using a Obsidian HSS prewired harness that will split the HB in position 2 but claims to let the HB "see" a 500k pot while the SCs "see" a 250.
Tones I want to cover - Blues, classic rock maybe drift into some hard rock now and then. Gorgeous cleans and driving blues tone is what I want out of the neck/mid. From the bridge I'd love something PAFish but well suited for a Strat.
Thanks in advance!

Hey Brady
Many options here. For years I use now a BKP HSS-set in my swampash custommade strat (maple neck, ebony board). I have a Crawler in the bridge, which beefs up a strat in a good way. But it also splits wonderfully. The splitted tone is tele-esque and the combi with the middle position has the F-quack. My single coils are Irish Tours, in fact overwound Mother's Milk for a bit more bass, mids and less topend but still will a lot of vintage chime. The Crawler is a sort of hotrodded PAF which cleans up very well. It does hardrock very well. I used this guitar in different bands, also in a classic rockband. It's my main giggin axe.

Thanks for the recommendation!
I'm pretty sure I'm sold on the Irish tours after listening to some sound clips. I was considering the Abaraxas to pair with them but the Crawler sounds very interesting as well.

Both humbuckers pair well (in character and output). It's a matter of preference. I wanted Alnico V for the bridge, hence my choice for the Crawler. The Abraxas is AIV, so closer to a Mule, but with just a more beef and output.
