Title: Stairway to heaven solo (mule)
Post by: _tom_ on April 23, 2006, 02:14:23 PM
I learnt this about a week ago so I thought I'd record it. Few little mistakes but I'm pretty pleased with the tone and sound of the recording actually, doesnt sound quite like the original obviously as I dont have a tele.. but anyway doesnt matter too much. The backing track sounds hilarious because its guitar pro midi and doesnt sound realistic , just funny  Its just my Epi LP with mules into my v amp 2 as usual. Not much sustain on this one for some reason though :?

Cheers

Wow that's cool - its like playing along to a computer game - great tone from the BKPs and Vamp.

Maybe you want to have a look here (http://www.guitarbt.com/index.php?page=dl_list&cat=Led%20Zeppelin) (just in case you want to re-record). They've plenty of free guitar backing tracks. I don't know where they have them from, nevertheless quite most of them are pretty good.

Ooh cheers, I just used the guitar pro one as that was what I learnt the solo with, so muting the lead track was dthe most convenient thing for me. I might re record some time anyway as some bits on this solo sound a bit off to me still. Anyway, cheers for the replies  :)

Well, I don't know Guitar Pro. I think it was a tabbing program? I had a look at it some time ago, but since there wasn't any Linux version of the program, it was pretty useless for me :(

Yeah its a midi tab type thing, like Powertab, makes it alot easier to learn songs than regular text style tabs.
