Hi
I have a Strat with Mother's Milk installed. They've been in a number of years and not sure what it was called, but has the original (non-noise cancelling) option for the in-between settings.
I am thinking of switching out the bridge pickup and dropping in a humbucker with coil tap wiring, so I can also use as a single coil. I'm looking for a more HB tone on the strat as I love single coils, want to introduce some more versatility. I play classic rock mostly; Marshall 2061x head/cab and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.
What would be a good humbucker choice that would work well with the mother's milk? I have Mules in my Les Paul which are fantastic so probably looking at a different option on the strat but open to all suggestions.
Thanks
Rich

If you want a good split I would inspect the Abraxas and the Crawler (which I have in a strat, single coil tone tele-esque). Also the Crawler - in my case - blends very well with the Irish Tour in the middle. Decent F-quack. A Mule is good too, although brighter than the Abraxas and Crawler, but imho not enough output for a great split.

I had the Crawler with Mother's Milks, but changed it to a VHII. I like the sound of the VHII for what I play more. I play classic rock and blues more than anything else and like the focus of the VHII. They also split really well, so that is another plus (though the Crawler does too).
