Hello!

Have a nice day!

Sounds cool, Franq, as every demo you upload, great playing. I follow you since the first Ran demos, sad that they broke.
Have you tried the Ragnarok? I'm going to put a Juggernaut set in my next 8 fan fret because I trust Juggs but I also like to try different pups and the Ragnarok seems good on paper. The problem is that lately I'm a bit tired of ceramic pups, they are overkill with a high gain amp as mine and feel alnico is the best match for me. The SILO also look appealing though I don't even know if bkp make it for 8 strings slanted.
The guitar is going to be swamp ash maple neck/fb, the FF rules out most of bkp pups like the impulse (I had those in mind until I was told no no) or blackhawks so my last doubt is between good old juggs or risking for ragnaroks. I like metal and mostly play metal, but versatily is my aim.
Happy new year everybody at the forum!

Thank you!
I tried Ragnaroks : https://youtu.be/B___tTa__qw
Ragnarok are not bad but not exactly my taste. I like Silo, Juggarnauts and Black Hawks more (BH on some guitars).
Anyway, recently, alnico pafs with low output works best for me

Exactly, I'm a bit tired of ceramics like you say, I think rags might be overkill for me. Alnico is my new go to, or else both kind of magnets like in the Juggs. Thanks

Really nice demos and playing.
It's a shame that the Black Hawks are not economically viable in anything besides the 6 and 7 straight formats, as they are my favourite BKPs. I have two Schecters with alnico Black Hawks sets and they have pushed my Warpig SG and Nailbomb Explorer (both alnico) out of my arsenal of live guitars. My guitar tech (who has been playing live since the 1970s) says they are the best pickups he's ever heard and is especially in love with the BH neck. He was saying to me today that if he was to go into the studio and had a choice of any guitars he's heard to use in the studio my two Schecters would be 1 & 2, that's how much he loves the BHs. He loved my Nailbomb too, he worked on that guitar a fair bit, but likes the Black Hawks more.
