Title: My amp's making funny sounds!

My amp (a fallen angel 2X12) has started making strange noises when I play it (no jokes about my playing please).  It's kind of hard to explain, but it's like a low repetitive "wup" sound. There doesn't seem to be any extra hiss or crackle, and it responds in the usual way.
 Do I need new valves or am I geting electromagnetic interferance from somewhere?

sounds like a flanger, haha. i don't have a clue how to help  -  sorry...
