Title: Flat 52 or 68 Staggered in the neck to accompany a Country Boy bridge
Post by: tom.maxwell83 on April 16, 2020, 08:34:55 PM
I like the idea of combining a really classic tight Tele twanger (so has to be the Country Boy) in the bridge with something in the neck which is a bit clearer than the traditional Tele neck. I feel like the best options would be either a Flat 52 (for the strat like quality) or a 68 Staggered (as it's something much brighter).

Any opinions? How would you describe the difference between the two options, and which might pair better with the CB?

It's a nitro on alder body with a rosewood neck, brass saddles and a bone nut. The current stock pickups are pretty harsh to be honest, but overall I'm very fond on the guitar.

I only have experience with the 52 neck, which is indeed more stratty than your average tele neckpickup.
