Has it ever occured to you that the warpig does not get the credability it may deserve?? It got a 5 stars from total guitar, while the miracle man got 4!!! Notice that in the gallery section, under Tims guitars, theres not a single guitar with warpigs.
So, everyone rants on about the miracle man and the nailbomb, while the warpig gets left behind. Is its uses so limited that it cannot be used for anything else than nu-metal, blackmetal and other extreme-metal genres.
Im just wondering, this is just my outside point of view, personly i dont have any experience with it.
-
i didnt think it was left out myself... in fact i think more people go on about the 'pigs than the miracle men....
-
Thats not all of Tims guitars.... its about half of them!
-

-
Hardly left out.
I really like the Warpig!

I heard that in France the Warpig is popular for ... whisper it ... jazz.
-
Here in Mississippi it is popular with ......shshshhshshsh the blues or may I say nu-blues :)
-
Here in Aylesbury it's popular with my mate Will - he loves it, and gets a multitude of nice sounds out of it thru his new Matamp!
-
it WOULD be popular with alot of people i know if they weren'r so caught up ina misticle world with fairies and SD's and EMG's etc.
if only they knew what they were missing out on.

Im sorry if I seem quite fronting, I do not mean to make a direct verbal attack towards BKP or anyone else.
To me it just feels that the Warpig gets left behind. Maybe this is only due to the Warpig-customers satisfaction for their aquired pickup, that they dont need anything else, so they are not very active here on the forum?

perhaps most of the people who've bought 'Pigs are just too busy rocking out?

The 'pig is badass, I think it gets discussed here more than any other pickup. The cleans ain't great but the distorted tone is SO otherworldly that you don't mind. Anyway, who buys a WP for clean tones? :?
-
^well, I didn't exactly buy them for the cleans, but now I own them I prefer the cleans to the metal tones, personally.
-
no diss to the WP, but when I plug in my Tele for cleans its worlds better for anything clean than the WP in my LP. shoe on the other foot though when I want some serious facemelting distortion.

I keep on coming back to my pig. I love it. I've had moments where I've just thought "Screw it, should I just put one in all my guitars?". Theres nothing I do that it cant do. Outstanding pickup.
-
The Pig is brutal! It's very good at what it's meant to do and more.
There's no other pickup like it. Maybe it should be relabelled Godzilla. It's monsterous, huge, heavy and crushes everything in it's path.

Tis the only BKP i own..
