Hey guys.
If you saw my previous post I was supposed to be receiving a Tele Flat 50 bridge and a Nantucket bridge as part of a trade.
It turns out that the Flat 50 is actually a 13.1k Piledriver and the bridge Nantucket is actually a neck model reading 6.9/k.
Just wondered if anyone had tried this combo at all or has any comments about its suitability or a mis-match etc?
The guitar in question is a MIJ Aerodyne Tele.
Cheers.

Your trades are getting more interesting every day! ))) I would just try that combo. Don't forget that big P90-magnet is more powerful and gives a broader tone than a classic neck tele single coil. Anyway, a powerful bridge single coil and a P90-neck pickup is a classic combo. The Piledriver sounds more modern than a Flat 50 though.

Yes I would just try this combo in the Tele and see how that goes. I think that a Piledriver could be a good match for a Nantucket neck. A lot of people who use hot Tele bridge pickups like milder neck pickups, and I don't even think that will be too big a difference in real terms. What I've heard of the Piledriver it is about as hot as an Emerald or a Rebel Yell, it's certainly not Warpig territory

Cheers guys.
I've used a Piledriver before, in a cheapie Tele and liked it. I'm still a relative newcomer to P90s though. I'll need to order some 500k pots for when I do the swap too.
I have either a Nantucket or a Blue Note in the neck of another guitar matched with a Black Dog bridge and thats really nice.
