Title: After re-wiring, my Warpig can't "METAL"!!
Post by: matarroano on June 20, 2020, 01:12:29 PM
Hi!

So, after my first DIY re-wiring work, my Warpig/Nailbomb set can't show me anywhere near a decent overdrive/dirty metal tone... Even in a simple "standard metal setting" I available on my amps it will sound "crunchy" at best...

I'm clueless. Anything you think I should consider having a look at?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,

It must be wired up incorrectly.  My guess is that you have wired the volume pot back to front, so that you have the hot wired to the wrong lug.  I did this once, and that was what it sounded like

Either that or you got the colours mixed up with the wires

Greetings,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your pickups. Could you email into sales@bareknucklepickups.co.uk with these issues and if able, some pictures of your wiring cavity with a description.

Hopefully, we can get you sorted quickly so you can get on and enjoy your BKPs!

THAT'S AWESOME COSTUMER SERVICE RIGHT THERE!!!

Thanks!

Right now I'm moving to a new house and it will be a while until I can get this to be any sort of "priority"... It will be a while for me to set my guitar "workbench" ready but, I'll get back to you when I do...

Take care. Stay healthy!
