Hi Guys,
does anyone know what kind of screws are recommended for mounting Cobra single-coil humbuckers in a Stratocaster?
F.ex. M3,5 x 25 or M4 x 20 or is it an imperial thread, or does it have a thread at all??? I am completely confused.
I don't have the originals anymore, otherwise I wouldn't ask.
Also I would like to get some black ones because I have a black pick guard installed.
If this is a stupid question, please enlighten me :-)
cheers!
Florian

I just received the answer form the support:
They are a 6 - 32. x 1" cross-head oval. They are basically a slightly longer normal strat screw - which is a vintage-accurate component. So what you're looking for is a modified vintage-accurate fastening. I don't think you will be able to find them in black I'm afraid, as we are the only people who use that design in that length.
I wouldn't normally recommend this - but people have painted the ends of the screws before and one guy even used a sharpie marker pen. As I said, it's not something I can recommend, but if you can't find the screws then you may have to try something like that.

Cobras are true single coils, not humbuckers
