Title: My Silo pickup set vs stock Ibanez Quantum Pups - full AB Tests
Post by: adamwakeling on July 01, 2020, 12:58:11 PM
Hi All,

I have just finished installing a set of Silos in my Ibanez RG 421 and have made a A-B comparison video of before and after with the exact same settings.

Let me know your thoughts on the video as well as the sound clips provided.

I have to say that ignoring the sound side, the Silos feel great to play, and weirdly seem to make me play better due to the responsiveness.

Nice video.  I left some comments there.  Overall the Silo set has more presence.  The Silo neck has a tighter bottom end.

Thanks Dave for watching. Yes, I agree - more presence, a tighter sound, and as the YT comment mentions richer harmonics from what I can tell on early comparisons.

From what I hear the richness also increases over time once the magnets wear in a bit - not sure if that is a real thing or not though!
