Title: Juggernaut Feels Hotter Than 13K
Post by: jeff5371 on July 04, 2020, 02:34:20 AM
I realize that DC resistance is not the only (or even best according to some) indication of output, but man it feels like a super hot pup.  I love it in my CU 24, but was surprised at how it pushed my amps like a much hotter pup.  Is this because of the EQ and maybe low mid emphasis?

I was also surprised at the high end.  Not shrill at all, but still biting and very sparkly for playing leads.  Cleans are great too.  Fantastic pick up overall, at least in this guitar.

Try a Black Hawk.  They test at 8.6 for the bridge and 8.0k for the neck.  I don't trust resistance as an indicator of output at all.

The type of wire and amount of windings play a role too.
