After massing a comment on a discussion on solder I thought somebody other than myseld would get a little entertainment out of this.

I particularly like this line "Brass, made from copper, was used, but people didn’t realize it was an alloy that included zinc, until the latter half of the eighteenth century."
What didn't the people who where producing the brass not notice themselves adding Zinc ?
What next they didn't realise that bronze contained tin ?
