Title: Pre-wired pickguard installation
Post by: Sam Chadwick on February 08, 2021, 04:02:03 PM
Hi all, has anyone bought one of these from BKP? what is the installation process - does it require much soldering etc?

Good to be back on here it's been a long time!

t's a pre-wired pickguard, so you would just have to solder the two wires to the output jack

Oh you will will have to connect a ground wire from the bridge to the pot where the other grounds are located.  On a Strat this will generally be from the claw.  There might also be a ground wire that someone has added for the cavity shielding (if present).

have you sheilded your guitar with conductive tape or paint? if not I recommend doing it and then hooking up the kit, which should be just connect to the output jacks as dave said.
