Title: Juggernaut vs. Cold Sweat Neck for Ibanez RG421 6-string
Post by: Joshua Jimenez on April 30, 2021, 03:38:00 AM
Good day everyone!

I recently purchased a cheap second hand Ibanez RG421 which has a meranti (Philippine Mahogany) body, maple neck, and 25.5" scale length. I'm currently upgrading this to become my drop tuned guitar short of getting a 7-string. For full transparency, this is gonna be my go-to "Periphery" guitar.

I was able to snag a Juggernaut bridge for this, but I'm currently choosing between a Jugg neck and a Cold Sweat neck to pair. While the Jugg neck is the obvious choice, it isn't readily available here in the Philippines, while the CS is up for grabs.

Hoping for the kind input of the forum in this regard. Thank you everyone!

I have both necks for 7 string and I prefer the Cold Sweat, more liquidy fluid for solos though the Jugg is a tad better (always bear in mind this is my opinion) for open chords and arpeggios. I can't tell you if they match right because the jugg is placed in a guitar with the jugg bridge and the CS pairs another guitar with Warpigs
