Wanted to thank one and all for the experience...
My camera froze up on Thursday before the show even began...
so I got not even a single photograph...
really sad about that...oh well.
Was a pleasure meeting the rogues gallery of attendees...
1st and foremost, Tim, Steve, & BK Ray :Thank you for letting me be a part of your gig- Had a great time, and enjoyed myself thoroughly- You 3 really made a powerful impression on me , and I 'm glad to have finally put faces to names- you guys ROCK!
Feline Jonathan -great meeting you, seeing your axes, & thanks for hooking me up with the Wolftone crew-
also "Airbrush" Nick (ovendoors, & sieves full of "teeth"?-cheers, mate!)
BK Forum Guys Afghan Dave, Phil King, 38th beatle, Davey, HGM, T.O.Ben, Johnny Mac-
nice meeting ye all- You guys are great...Thanks for the shop talk & the laughs...
Let's do it again next year-
THANKS MATES ! ! !
warm regards from old Drac back in DK-

It wasn't one of mine I'm pleased to say.
C'mon Dave - give Sambo a break
Maybe it wasn't stolen - just removed to have some better pickups fitted
-
I SAW PEOPLE WITH GUITAR YOU DAFT BIGGER BUGGER!!!!!
namely
1.) my mate
2.) tonnes of other people...
SO NER!!!!!
-
I'm kinda jealous I didnt go to LGS, sounds like you all had fun, and now I want to play one of the Felines with the sexy neck joint
-
Think I missed out too, did see them at the one in Birmingham though
-
Now if I could only figure out how to spend at least one night in London, catch 2 twenty hour flights and be back at work on a monday.
Maybe I'll have to miss out. oohh well.
-
Arrived home last night-Mon. the 8th-
to mountains of repair work...
Fair enough -the money is sorely needed!
So after a few days of catching up, I'm launching some new building projects-
Acquired two sustainer systems-
Fernandes FSK-101,& FSK-401-
have a mind to set these up in conjunction with BK pickups ,
most likely Warpigs, and Nailbombs...
Also some 7 string projects-have a Floyd 7, and a fixed bridge that I want to use, but we'll see if I ever build them again-I've played 7 & 8 stringed instruments, and I'm not so sold on the 'one guitar for all gigs'/ "Swiss Army Knife" concept-rather think guitars are like golf irons, or paint brushes- Choose the right one for the desired effect-SPECIALIZED.
hmmm....Reaching over 7 strings to riff on the 8th is not as comfortable as a cruising on a thinner necked 6 string,
-unless you do it all the time.
-If you do, you may be dependent on specialized instruments, and unable to borrow, or sub on the gear of others-this can present problems in the real world...
- still a lot of bass players using 4 strings for example, and if they got chops, I guarantee you won't be missing any music coming out-
More strings does not mean more succulent music.
I'm feeling more inspired to build , than to buy, based on what I've seen at the show-Don't get me wrong, there was definately some cool axes-
Black Machine, Feline, and Nathan Sheppard for me...
We all do our different things, and there is a place for us all in this mad, mad world.
Can't wait to get caught up, and therefore get started...
Was a positive thing for me to attend LGS-
inspired to get busier....
-
Good to meet you too Drac! That Fenandes sustainer system with Bkps sounds interesting!
-

absolutely. i feel that i gotta get busy to compete with ben hehe. not a spitting contest, but some healthy music competition =)
-
Hey Davey, I didnt realise I was talking to you at LGS. I would of said hello properly otherwise, sorry!
Was really good to meet the guys and had some interesting conversations. Love to meet up again next time. Is it going to be somewhere else next year? I saw something about Canary Wharf.
-
you were at the feline stand? grey shirt?
at first i didnt know who was who... it was like hey dave, this is......
hey, how are ya? that over ther......n
yea, hello :D
later on with ben.. who were all those people? lol.. later on i knew, cos of the "silent" periods, but at first i had no clue =P
-
Yeah-
Those "quiet times" at a guitar show were as absurd as chaste periods of sexual abstinence at a brothel
Hope that idea dies out!
crazay!
-
Yeah i was the guy in the grey shirt.
I think the quite periods are for the sanity of the exhibitionists. But i know what you mean, it is slightly annoying to say the least. The backround noise was incredible.
-
My ears were ringing when i came out. mind you i did have my face stuck in one of tim's jcm 800s whilst playing a LP custom with cold sweats in just before the end!

It always good to have ringing ears from stinging guitars! Good to meet you Davey. So your putting the new Warpig in your Charvel? I love Charvels! Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.
Isn't the internet great, I mean Tim starts up a cool handmade pickup business, gets a forum and we all meet up and make new friends! Cool or what! 8)

TOTALY!!! :D
yea, its going into the charvel (for now) .. in a while i want to start a project, but i am still debating the finish/graphic with myself.
its going to have (this) warpig and a slanted trilogy in the neck.
the warpig put a twist on the graphic, cos of the damage hehe.
gotta get a neck made by feline and the dumb ass that i am, i forgot to talk with jonathan about it and show him what i want to do with it.

I was there on the Sunday, but I didnt play a tele. I played his Amber Slinger ( think thats the name ) which was amazing. Ill find a pic of myself to see if you recognize me.

Anyone get any pics of the Organic stand??
I sadly wasnt able to get down to the show but two of my guitars were there and it would be nice to see how the stand looked with them on it.
