Title: Where to get a box like this?
Post by: _tom_ on May 09, 2006, 01:24:16 PM
I'm looking for a metal or other durable material box which will have a lift off lid, so I can store my pedals in it, carry them around etc, then just lift off the lid and I wont need to set them up or whatever.. Heres a classic MS paint diagram of what I mean if you dont understand

I did some searches but couldnt find anything like what I want... other than "proper" guitar pedalboards which are a rip off in my opinion. A handle would be nice aswell.

Cheers for any help

^i think maplin do something along those lines, a record player case or something. I think it's around £30.

I have no idea if it'll even do what you want, but you might as well check maplin's website...

Aha found the one on Maplin I think - http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=36272&criteria=Cases&doy=9m5

Steve, thatd be cool.. how much would you charge to build one to hold around 5-6 pedals and a psu?

hahaha it looks stupid though! Like the kinda thing a poserish "emoxcorenumetalfag" kid might have, you wont see my pedals placed upon one anytime soon

Found one on ebay that I might get actually -

I've been watching pedalboards on Ebay for the last few weeks.

The 1s you've mentioned have been going upto about £70ish :)

A friend of mine uses an old briefcase. The pedals are stuck to a piece of plywood with velcro and the board fits snuggly in the case. Looks snazzy, plus it has pockets for paper, cables, pens, gaffa tape etc.
