I have had some MQs installed at sound control. The neck is much quieter than the bridge and has no body to it.What could be wrong?

Have you tried adjusting the height of the pickups?

Yes  but the sound is very week and thin  I wondered if there was a defect

Does it sound very faint and weak? Like a mile away? Is the output less than half of that of the other pickup? Does it sound like a cheap humbucker that is coil tapped or ot of phase? What does the DC measure?

sounds like a wiring error - take it back to Sound Control & tell them to check it out, the tech should've tested the pickups out before giving you it back (tsch!!!)

Most people on these boards who think they have a defective BKP turn out to have a defective guitar 'tech'.  Check that problem first.

Take it back, demonstrate the problem and suggest that they may like to try again.

If they supplied the pickups, I would even suggest getting a refund and go elsewhere, as Sound Control have been known to have 'issues' with tech stuff :(
