Title: Pickup suggestions
Post by: CannibalXerox on September 17, 2022, 07:10:06 PM
In the middle of doing up an old Jackson Kelly (alder body,
maple neck, rosewood board) which has had the stock pickups switched for some shockingly bad fake EMGs. The original pickups would have been Duncan JB/Jazz, but looking to upgrade to BKP. Tone requirements simple, Rust In Peace-era Megadeth

What should I get?

For both bridge and neck?

Yes, both bridge and neck, the matched Holy Diver set is the closest to the Rust in Peace-era Megadeth sound, no question about it.

@darren: It's a series of talks, organized like conferences with general audience, about popular topics in science, medicine, technology, engineering, arts, culture, humanitarian studies, etc. by experts on these fields or success story examples. It was my attempt to point, in a humorous way, that Holy Diver is the obvious answer to the question posted by the OP (I hope that I managed to transfer the humorous mood of my answer - sometimes text does not convey the intention behind it).

The HD is a great choice for this. FWIW, I just put a True Grit bridge in a Charvel Model 4 (with Bill Lawrence blades in the middle and neck positions), and it is great  as well. Good luck!
