What are the benefits of low or high string height... find that my guitar has it too low?...how do i alter it?

-
				Low string height:
 -easier to play
 -harder to bend
 -more buzz
-depending on how bad the neck is, possible dead notes...
 -and, harder to play slide

High string height (and I'm talking reasonably high ;)):
 - more or less the opposite :)

Your guitar's bridge probalby has some screws to alter the height, either for the whole bridge or for each saddle, depending on what bridge you have.

				its an edge pro

 Thanks for teh info btw
-
Ok, you can heighten the whole Edge Pro, see the attached picture...

-
yes, you CAN do that, but i would suggest loosening the strings first to take tension off the knife edge before you start grinding a metal post against it!  i did do it once without loosening, and it doesn't seem to have done any harm, but better safe than sorry, although it is a hell of a hassle with a floating bridge.

Thought I may aswell add onto this thread...How much does string height matter..getting the sweet spot I mean?...I dont know if I have found it or not?

A mississippi queen nech, Mothers milk middle and Nailbomb bridge, what kind of heights should I be looking at?

 Cheers,
 Rory.

				I mean pickup height

-
string hight has a lot to do with a guitars tone as well. The higher the strings, the more you get out of the guitars wood, the lower the strings, the more its just pickup.

-
^ yeah, you get more sustain with higher strings.
