Well the trusty ol VHII has been removed from the neck of my strat, now the VHII has the sweetest voiced mid range for leads i absolutly loved the tone of this pickup but it lacked a bit of GRRRR and Swoosh!, Amazing (and i mean amazing) Cleans aswell.The pickup played very detailed and totally uncompressed accenting your picking details and really generally just rocks socks! although I found this VHII to not be the idea shred pickup, although it was a jazz/rock/clean master.
So in comes the Cold Sweat the mid range voice of this pickup isnt anywhere near as beautiful as the VHII, im afraid to say it's cleans dont keep up with the VHII either but what it does rock at is really fluid melting lead lines and well it does then bloody good, with the miracle man in the bridge these are quite specialist pickups really trying to get a very modern agressive sound and im quite happy with this combination at the moment just a shame the VHII has to leave coz well I loved it.
