I’m looking for a versatile, high-output HB set to put into a PRS McCarty and the Unity set has caught my attention, along with a few others. However, there is very little out there for this set in the way of reviews and which applications it does or doesn’t work for. I know Abraxas, Polymath, and Silo are very popular sets for this type of guitar and, of those three, I am leaning a bit towards the Silos. But, I would like to hear more about the Unity and what people do and don’t like about them before pulling the trigger.

Hi! I'm sorry that you haven't had a reply from the community about this, I would say that the key things that we focused on when designing the Unity set were a fast and precise attack in the bridge with a distinctive midrange grind and a rich tone in the neck, but with a more natural dynamic feel, giving the set a very broad reach across a wide variety of contemporary applications. Particularly in the bridge position, they represent a much more direct and aggressive feel in comparison to the other models that you mention, so, it really depends on the kind of feel that you want to go for with this guitar. I think that all of the models that you have mentioned will work just fine in a McCarty, with the Unity being the most crisp and modern, the Abraxas being the most mellow and expressive and the Silo and Polymath sitting somewhere in between.
