I've got a BC Rich SOB Avenge (Basswood Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fretboard).
Guitar will be tuned to Drop C/Drop C# mostly.
I'm fairly new to the world of BKP. My only experience is a 7-string Warpig that I've got on my Alder Body guitar.
I'm looking for something for my BC Rich for modern metal (Periphery-style chugs), modern rock, clear articulate notes when big chords are played distorted.
A good split-coil tone would be a bonus, but not a priority.
Pickups I've been using have been the SD Nazgul, SD Black Winters, SD Invaders, Dimarzio X2N, Dimarzio D-Activator X, and EMG 81.
So I figured I would try BKP again.
Also, could you recommend what potentiometer to use?
I usually use CTS 500k pots, but I can see that BKP have their own version of 550k pots.
Is 500k or 550k better for my needs?
Thanks in advance!

Periphery-style chugs with clarity and good splits says Juggernauts to me.
Assuming a pot is its stated value, you will not hear a difference between 500K and 550K pots.
The reason BKP spec 550K from CTS is to allow for a 10% tolerance, so the lowest possible value will still be at least 500K; "regular" CTS pots are 500K with a wider tolerance (20% IIRC), where one at the low end could be below 400K, at which point you would hear a subtle difference.
