Hoping someone can provide any info/experience on the 7 string Polymath.
Have purchased an Ibanez AZ24047 (Alder, Maple, HSS, 7 Strings) and it plays incredibly and is the perfect “Strat” for me except…
The bridge pickup (Hyperion) is a bit bland.
I’m generally not tuning lower than B standard and play stuff in the vein of Haken, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Andy Timmons.
What I’m looking for is something that will hold together for progressive/thrashier riffing whilst not being too stiff for expressive lead playing but there’s a dearth of clips/video of BKP 7s in a less modern setting.
Any help would be appreciated (also open to neck SC recommendations as well)
