i've recently picked up a squier (don't laugh) custom tele - one of the ones with the p90's. it's really just a backup to my sg, but it's in all honesty a super nice guitar. the neck is lovely to play.
anyways, the bridge p90 just doesn't cut it. i have a warpig in my sg, and i need to replace the p90 with something which will at least get close to the 'pig territory. i'd rather not re-route the body or anything - its just too much hassle for a second guitar.
so, any suggestions for a humbucker in the size of a soapbar p90???

pig-90
:D
i dont think they have it in soapbar size, but you could send it to them for a rewind

The Pig-90 comes in both soapbar and dog-ear. I have one in my LP Junior and the sound is great. It is fatter than a regular P-90 but retains a lot of the original tone.

i stand corrected =)

Yep, Pig90. That Squier will be one helluva beast.

if you really want a humbucker, i believe the mini-mule will fit into a p90 space. it's no warpig, but it'll still sound great, and maybe there is some way Tim can beef it up, ceramic magnet maybe?

I didn't really read your post properly, blue is correct, the mini-mule will fit into a P-90 soapbar rout. BK supply all you need to make the change. They are a great pickup and have a sweet almost driven strat tone. Steven Stills used a Firebird with CSN&Y and Scott Gorham used a LP Deluxe with Thin Lizzy, both of those guitars have the mini-humbuckers.
