well, these were talked about a while back. the sceptics thought they'd never see the light of day, but as of this evening, there's one nestled snugly in the back of my '93 Eggle L.A. Plus!
it works. don't really know what else to say about it. installation was painless, took about half an hour, could have been quicker but didn't want to make any stupid mistakes. and.... it works! tighten one thumbscrew and the bridge is dive only, tighten the other two (just to be sure) and it's a hard tail.
i'd definately recommend it, and will be ordering more for my Gibson MIII's and their floyd roses.

Thanx for the review!
I would never use one of those things on my guitars tho! PDT_008

have you had an unfortunate experience with a tremsetter? or do you use your whammy all the time, which would make one of these pretty pointless. i can't imagine it being much use to Steve Vai for example!
if it's the tremsetter thing, i found this to be totally unobtrusive. once it's set up you wouldn't know it's there until you lock it. there's no exra tension like with a tremsetter.
of course, i've only had it in for a day, still plenty of time for something to go wrong...
