Can anyone point me to a free WAV to MP3 convertor? Not just a trial for 15 days version, but a full free convertor?
Cheers!

You might find something here:
http://www.pricelessware.org/
or here:
http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_46_free_utilities.htm
or here:
http://www.analogx.com/contents/news.htm
These are the freeware sites I have in my Bookmarks, and most have an audio section.

No Worries Angus ;)

Itunes also works well and is free.

I think iTunes is able to do this, but I'm not at home and snug with my Mac, so I might be wrong.

dbpoweramp is dandy

CDEX converts anything: http://cd-to-mp3.audiolaunch.com/cd-ripper/

CDex is great, and will rip CDs too.
If you just want a standalone WAV -> MP3 conversion I'd recommend getting the latest version of the LAME encoder (http://www.mp3-tech.org/software/encoders/lamewin32.exe) which includes both the CLI version and the rather spiffy RazorLAME frontend for it (http://www.dors.de/razorlame/index.php).

Yes, RazorLAME is excellent - I heartily second it. 8)

I downloaded the free mp3 convertor plugin for Audacity, it's great as it gives you loads of options on quality.

Audacity uses LAME as it's mp3 convertor. :)
