Title: Moving
Post by: Johnny Mac on May 25, 2006, 09:30:50 PM
I'm moving tomorrow and I've bought a flat with my bruv! I've had seriously bad neighbour problems since January this year when this bunch benefit freeloaders moved in upstairs to me. I think I've been woken up every night since they moved in apart from the odd night. 3 times last night, it drives me fffing mad! A few weeks ago i asked them to keep the noise (constant banging) down and the bloke up there flew at me and i had this really amusing stand off nose to nose with the C*** as he is about 8 inches shorter than me. Anyway after a huge slanging match his stupid wife calls the police and accuses me of threatening them. So the police turn up and i explain whats going on ect and the police to their credit gave them such a dressing down. So anyway some goods come out of it as i can move away from this main road where i live with all its pub brawls, sirens, Nazi traffic wardens (got another fine today for 80 quid and didn't even receive a ticket) mini cab drivers shouting in the middle of the night, pissed tarts 'singing' i will survive ect.

I didn't even get around to giving the neighbours some pay back with the Koch Powertone II and a MM Charvel in the end but that was the plan! I was going to give it to them a few weeks back at 6 in the morning at full volume (120w)    but my brother talked me out of it!

So I may be off line for a while but I'll be back!

Good luck J Mac
Sounds like doing the right/best thing.

Why not, as parting gift, do the old Halloween trick.
shite in a paper bag, light it and knock on their door! After you are ready to drive away for good of course :)

Hope the move goes well.  Sounds like you're moving on up in your living arrangements anyways.

Oh, and I also can relate to having lousy neighbours.  I've known more than my fair share, from crackpots to crackheads.

Hey man I can totally sympathise with you I live in a student street and the bar-stewards kept me awake a lot of the time. Luckily they are wimps and I just threatened them with violence and now theyre much better. Good luck with the move brother.

Done the move! It took 2 days, i have soooo much stuff that even after dumping loads of it, i had to get even more ruthless and condemn more!

It's smaller in the new place too but it's really nice and i love it. I should be able to have an amp on at bedroom levels without disturbing the neighbours as the walls are so thick.

Anyway just popped in, I've got to get the broadband activated in the new place but shouldn't be too long.

glad the move went well J Mac.

Be ace if you moved in next to a metal head neighbour, could have 'cranking' sessions with the old amps ;)

Johnny, my dear old friend... should you wish to borrow any of my guitars I will be happy to bring one round personally

Maybe you could invite the neighbours round so we could all get to know each other a little better while you have fun with the powertone..
