Title: What do you think of this pick guard

Hi All,

I was looking to pimp my sg standard but not tacky style.  I found this website that does custom pick guard jobs.  My sg is
all black with currently an all black pick guard.  Both my pickups are the distressed bkp's.  How do you guys think this guard
would look on my sg?  thanks!

Think it would look better with burnt chrome covers (maybe too "samey" though).
Dunno, distressed covers,hmmm, maybe a metal pickgaurd (not diamondplate though) , look anyway. Somthing that will look as knarly as the pup covers.

I was looking at these metal ones but dont know about the whole metal guard.  Not sure if its a little too much.

yeah, noooooooooo. IMO Daimondplate has been done now :)

I like the Black Abalone one, kinda dark and distressed but tonally different. Dunno, maybe photoshop it :)

I was 1st going to get black pearl but if im going to spend the cash i might as well get something really cool.  Black is great but a little plain.  The abalone got me thinking.  thanks

yeah, seen that, bit, ummmmm, "flauncy" for my SG  :twisted:

I bought it and it's kinda EVIL! combined with the Burnt Chrome Calib. Warpigs I have on the way, gotta carry on the "This Guitar Can Melt You If You Get Too Close" look :)

Damn, better get practicing so can back up the guitars looks with evil playing I guess ROFLMAO

I don't know about diamond plate guards.  They are cool looking but not sure how the metal effects the magnet in the pups or if your more prone to feedback.
