Title: Organic BKPs, eh?
Post by: hobleguitars on May 31, 2006, 04:29:13 PM
So I was flicking through the guitar magazines in 'Smiths when I take a look at the engraved pickups adorning this custom guitar in the first article, and each read: "Organic BKP". I skim-read on, with a little box claiming they're vintage hot and sound organic. Hmm...so what are they, and are they only available on that guitar (sorry - can't remember the name - it was a furiously quick browse)?

Cheers!

You're probably thinking of the ones made for Organic Guitars funnily enough! If so, they are custom wound. The neck is a hotter Stormy Monday, as for the bridge I'm not sure, but it's pretty hot.

So there's no chance they'll become available in the forseeable future, then?

You could always ask for one custom wound like those ones.

Yeah that's what I thought Joe.

I think you should bare in mind that they are voiced for the Organics.
And also, don't we already have enough choice!?

Theres a recent post asking about them and my reply.

Im not sure if they could be custom wound and sold seperately or not.

One thing i will say tho is they are a very transparent pickup so a good guitar is kinda important lol. They are fanstastic at showing off the guitars natural acoustic tone and the players tone as well.
