Hey, I haven't done a clip for quite a while, but was urged to do one as a friend of mine wants to start off a project called " The Legendary Master Chief ". Im not gonna say what it is referencing purely because its very sad.
But anyway, I was just recording a few riffs with my RG 7321 ( yes another nailbomb Ibanez clip :) ).
Recording consisted of an MBox, my new MacBook Pro ( Pro Tools was released 3 days ago for it ) and a POD XT Pro.
No drums on this clip and its just ideas for now.
Enjoy.

Cool riff, hypnotic!
Tone isn't my cup of tea, but GREAT for your style of playing!!
-
That is some nice heavy stuff right there! Just the kind i like!
It's great.
-
Cool, really like the distorted sound for those 7th string riffs !!! :D
Reminds me slightly of meshuggah or even more Thordendal's CD, even though your sound is almost fatter than his (and his Drums are fatter than yours ;))
What are you emulating with your pod?
Oh, and as I'm lazy and don't respond to everything, I will say it now that your other stuff is also great. You got the riffing thing down really good!

Cheers for the comments guy! The first thing i'll say is this isnt the type of tone i would go for. The new project is going to be quite different from my other band ( think stoner rock, mastodon, botch but with a metal edge to it ).
So TO i agree with you, i think its a good tone for what it is, but it isnt really my cup of tea either.
I think in the mix the guitars might not work that well. Im using the L6 Big Bottom patch on my POD. Thought i would try something different. If anyone wants the patch then PM me. Cheers for the comments n_mountain.
WFD, i thought you may like this. Im gonna do some death metal clips fairly soon with a similar tone I have made. Will be interested what you think of it.
Thanks again guys!
