Title: BLIND GUARDIAN "Fly" single review
Post by: TwilightOdyssey on June 06, 2006, 02:28:41 PM
I've been meaning to jot down a quick review of the new Blind Guardian single, Fly since it came out several weeks ago, but I forgot.

Adding new drummer/multi-instrumentalist Frederick Ehmke to the lineup, Blind Guardian releases another + 5 minute gem in their typically bombastic fashion. The slight stylistic change Hansi has mentioned in interviews is evident on this song, which is supposedly on the new album, as well, but if anyone liked Opera, you will like this song, too. It also combines some of the vocal stylings heard in Demons & Wizards.

Anyway, here's a taster for ya: Fly, in it's entirety:

If you want the full Blind Guardian punch-in-the-face, get Nightfall On Middle Earth. It is one of the most ambitious power progressive pieces ever written!!

Im a huge fan of them, get Imaginations From The Other Side, it is Blind Guardian at their best. I love the Fly single though, it's great!
