My mate found this track from somewhere, it had a lead but there was a gap where I could "steal" the backing track/rhythm from so I did and added a similar lead to the one allready on it.. thought I'd post it up here in case anyones interested. It was my usual recording setup - Epi LP Custom with Mules into V-Amp 2 into soundcard.
Enjoy :)
oh and its the bridge mule if you couldnt allready tell :P
EDIT- new power metal type song I made today up!

Excellent tone and playing, i especially like the perfect intervention of the double stops.
Make it longer though.
I want more.
MORE!
-
Cheers alex :) Come on! 20 downloads and only one reply?! Surely its not that bad :P
-
Nicely done, Tom. Some nice quickfire licks there. I like the bright tone here. Increases the old G.A.S for the mule for my LP copy. I wish it was longer as well. Keep up the good work. More Mule clips, Please!
-
Sorry Tom, downloaded it last night and then had probs with PC so thought, sod it, I will listen tomorrow and that is now and it is pretty cool. A nice Les Paull sound. Your clips are always pretty good matey.

say, this "pure ownage" thing, are these BKPs and are they for real? And what is "pure ownage" about?

Cool clip Tom, you have a lot of attitude in your playing. (Thats a compliment)

Yeah they are my Mules when they arrived after being re-covered in black instead of the gold ones I originally had on :)
As for the pic... when something owns... its better than everything basically! Maybe I should take those words off to avoid confusion..
Cheers for the comments, appreciate them! I could extend the backing and add to this lead later I guess, I might also work on a new clip again but I havent really had much riff-making inspiration for a while now.. maybe I should just do a simple 12 bar blues based clip  8)

Good clip there Tom :)
Those clips sound great. I dunno what it is, but other people always seem to get better tones out of a V-amp2 than I've ever been able to! lol
You're just adding to my 'Mule for my Gibby LP GAS' with this clip
-
cheers :) I've always been able to get a good tone out of the V-Amp 2 for recording at least, doesnt sound as great through my fender for some reason, which is a shame as its a versatile modeller and I love its recorded tones! You just have to play with the cab models, I found that the 1x8" model (number 1 in the selection) always gives the best tone, the others all make it sound really fake or something.. Gonna record some other stuff soon, maybe some improvising to a Since I've Been Loving You backing track..

I decided to do an ACDC kinda thing, not that amazing but its worth a try :)

Pure ownage is a gamer thing.
Tom is a gamer.
As am I.
It seems to be a very good photoshop if people think those pickups are real.
I wouldn't mind a set.
Oh and, i got to listen to the ACDC thing before anyone, so i'm very happy.
Good work, Tom.
Keep it up.

OH someone thought the Pure Ownage was an engraving?! It doesnt even look like it is
-
Lets hear you do a clip with you neck pup Tom.
-
I did one in another thread thats a bit down the page, called Cheesy solo on Neck Mule or something..
-
I ordered a set of mules for my lp on the strength of Tom's clips. Hopefully they should be here this weekend. Really can't wait!
-
haha cool, I hope you like em now I've forced them upon you :P
-
hi there, nice tone there, shame about the clipping though.
I like the way you've done the double tracked lead guitar and the way it's phygian and dark sounding in parts, nice playin'
over and out.
