Just wondering where this pickup comes in terms of output and tone in relation to Bk's other pups?
Cheers

I've heard its between the Abraxas and Cold Shot in terms of how much it pushes your amp. It seems to have a lot of mid and treble, from the few clips of it.

ReBel yell that is...

What's a Revel yell and a Cold Shot?

Obviously the new new names for BKPs, Miracle Grow pickups and WhorePigs what u think?
-
Why not The Revel Yellow and Cold Shot The Sheriff ?
The Rebell Yell has a lot of output, something like a bit less than the Nailbomb, but not so much... Tighter bass than NB, more (vocal) mids and singing highs with lots of overtones. The perfect pickup if you play with in a one-guitar rock band and want to be clearly heard.

Outputwise the RY is a touch hotter than Abraxas but not quite up there with Nailbomb or Cralwer............you can't really compare to a ColdSweat or MiracleMan as they're ceramic powered so perform quite differently.

Reminds me of my dear old gran who used to tell me she had seen "that rock and roll singer Elvis Parsley" on the TV. :)

so the rebel yell is more aimed at the Rock side of things, while the Nailbomb is more a a metal machine?
The rebel yell being more smooth and the Nailbomb being more versittile and aggressive?

Maybe. Both will push your amp pretty hard with respect to harmonic overtones.

The Nailbomb is definitely more aggressive. The Rebel Yell has more of an upper midrange sparkle that lets articifical harmonics really fly. You can actually hear the harmonic overtones with the Rebel Yell; it's quite a treat!
I find all of the BKs to be very versatile. I think that the catch-all 'Nailbombs are more versatile' is a bit of a misnomer. (Personally, I think that there are other pups in the BK range that are more versatile)

Could you please name these pickups, as I'm looking for a versatile bridge pickup for my HSS strat - needs to be able to do literally everything, the RY looks good but doesn't come in an HSS set which annoys me ('cause it's exactly what i want :P)

just tell Tim when you order and i'm sure he can arrange something

Second thoughts have suggested that the new Holydiver is actually a better way to go - they have the midrange i was after, and has the extra output that probably is better in the long run as well - the singles are there for the lower output stuff anyways
So for me it's the HD/IT/IT HSS set, with a slightly under wound neck pickup :) Now just gotta save up :P

I have a Crawler/Irish Tour/Irish Tour set in my 1993 Fender Strat and it's a very versatile guitar imo.
In all honesty, the Crawler doesn't seem like a high output pickup to my ears. Other higher output pickups I've tried always seem to push the amp harder and produce less of a clean sound. Whereas the Crawler to my ears sounds more like a PAF style pickup but with just a little more power. It still has a very nice clean tone to it and is big and open.

From the demo sound clips I certainly have to agree! Listen to that killer clean tone! :)
